-The climate is warm and wet. The average annual temperature is above 20 degrees celsius.
-The Tropical Rainforests are located in the tropics, a band around the equator from 23.5 N to 23.5 S.
-Rainforests now cover 6% of Earth's land surface and 40% of Earth's oxygen.
-Scientists estimate that more than half of all the world's plant and animal species live in Tropical Rainforests.
